Judith Chalmers was! Featured on television's ' Wish You Were Here? ' holiday
programme, Lairbeck Hotel is one of the few true Country House Hotels in the Lake District.
Built in 1875 of Lakeland stone, Lairbeck was the family home of James Reddie Anderson, a
barrister, local dignitary and friend of John Ruskin.

There was a open log fire in the bar each evening ... which is great to return to after a days
walking in the February weather.
