Accommodation
As soon as you enter the main hall you can sense the relaxed, family atmosphere of one of Keswick's finest Victorian country houses. In recent years, many features of the original house have been lovingly restored. The magnificent barley-twist staircase and galleried landing give the hall a prestigious feel and warmth. On the landing a collection of old photographs donated by the Anderson family, evoke memories of their days at Lairbeck.

In the comfort of the lounge bar, you can reflect upon the events of the day, plan for tomorrow or simply relax and absorb the quiet atmosphere of the house. An unusual feature of the lounge is the window framing a dramatic view of Skiddaw over the marble fireplace.

Hospitality, comfort and relaxation are all vital ingredients of the Lairbeck experience. Many of our guests, captivated by the timeless ambience of this stylish old house, return time and time again.

Bedrooms
Lairbeck has fourteen bedrooms including superior rooms, a four-poster room, two ground-floor rooms, four single rooms and one family room.

Most rooms have superb mountain views or overlook the garden with its giant redwood tree and lush green lawn. The hotel is strictly non-smoking throughout. All rooms have either a bathroom or shower room en suite, and have been individually decorated to enhance their charm and character.

Each room has kept the name given to it by the Anderson family.
